What If Some of the Family Are Not Yet Christians?

My advice would be to start with those who are. If it’s a question of a married couple who are Christians and an (older) child who is not, this is comparatively easy. Make the journey to faith of your children and stepchildren the subject of daily, heartfelt prayer together. Go through the teaching above together and put it into practice.

If it is a spouse who is not yet a Christian, it may still be good to discuss your desire to pray as a family and to ask if he or she would like to be present, or if he or she would have any objection to it taking place. It is remarkable what occurs for those who ask, seek and knock.
